Barbara Pemberton

Professor

Dr. Barbara Pemberton earned a B.A. in Comparative Religion from the University of Mississippi, an M.A. Theology from Southwestern Baptist Seminary, and a Ph.D. in World Religions from Baylor University. For over ten years Dr. Pemberton lived and did research in Saudi Arabia. She has been speaking and writing about Islam for over twenty years, including contributing to the Apologetics Study Bible by Holman Press. She now serves as Professor and Chair of the Christian Missions Department at Ouachita Baptist University, teaching classes in Islam, World Religions, Interpreting the Bible, and Christian Discipleship. She also directs the Carl Goodson Honors Program.
